Areas We Serve — Telepsychiatry Across Massachusetts

Luminous Vitality Behavioral Health serves adults (18+) across all of Massachusetts by secure telepsychiatry. There are no physical offices in any city — Dr. Ronald Lee, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist, sees every patient personally by video. You can be seen from anywhere in the Commonwealth, whether you’re in Boston, Worcester, Cambridge, or a small town, as long as you are physically located in Massachusetts at the time of your visit.

How “areas we serve” works when care is by telehealth

Because LVBH is a telepsychiatry practice, the honest answer to “do you serve my area?” is almost always yes — if you are an adult physically located in Massachusetts, you are within our service area. Dr. Lee is licensed in Massachusetts, so care can be delivered anywhere in the state by secure, HIPAA-appropriate video.

Two things are worth saying plainly:

The metros below are where many of our patients live and work. Each will have its own page over time; this page is the map that ties them together.

Metropolitan areas and regions we serve

Below are the Massachusetts communities and regions LVBH commonly serves by telepsychiatry. As dedicated pages for each go live, they’ll be linked here.

Don’t see your town? If you’re an adult physically located in Massachusetts, you’re in our service area — the list above highlights common metros, not the limits of where we can see you. Rural and small-town residents are often the ones who benefit most from telepsychiatry, because the nearest psychiatrist may otherwise be an hour away. See our statewide telehealth psychiatry page.

Why statewide telehealth is the point, not a workaround

Telepsychiatry isn’t a lesser version of in-person care that happens to reach more zip codes — for medication management it removes the two barriers patients cite most: the commute and the wait for a physical slot. You see the same board-certified psychiatrist at every visit, from your own home, office, or any private space in Massachusetts. That continuity matters more in psychiatry than a specific street address does.

It also means your care doesn’t break if your life moves. Change towns within Massachusetts, start a job with a different commute, or spend a stretch caring for family elsewhere in the state — as long as you’re physically in MA at visit time, your psychiatrist stays the same.

What we provide (adults 18+, medication management)

LVBH is a medication-management psychiatry practice for adults 18 and older. Dr. Lee personally conducts every evaluation and manages ongoing care by video. Common reasons patients across Massachusetts reach out include anxiety disorders (see our anxiety psychiatrist page), depression, adult ADHD, and related conditions managed with medication.

We do not provide talk therapy in-house; when therapy is part of the right plan, we coordinate with or refer you to a therapist. We see adults only.

How your telehealth visits work

  1. Book a free 15-minute consult to confirm we’re the right fit — no charge, no obligation, one per prospective patient.
  2. Complete a comprehensive initial evaluation by secure video with Dr. Lee (not a form or an intake coordinator).
  3. Discuss a plan together — which may or may not include medication.
  4. Continue with follow-up visits by video as often as your care requires, from anywhere in Massachusetts.

You need a private space, a device with a camera, and to be physically located in Massachusetts at visit time. That’s it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Luminous Vitality Behavioral Health have an office in my city?

No. LVBH is a telepsychiatry practice with no physical offices in Boston, Cambridge, Worcester, or any other city. All care is delivered by secure video. You can be seen from home, work, or any private space as long as you’re physically located in Massachusetts at the time of your visit.

What areas of Massachusetts do you serve?

All of them. LVBH serves adults anywhere in Massachusetts by telepsychiatry — including Boston, Cambridge, Newton, Brookline, Worcester, Somerville, Quincy, the MetroWest corridor, and the North and South Shore. If you’re an adult physically located in Massachusetts, you’re in our service area.

Can I be seen if I live in a small town or rural part of Massachusetts?

Yes. Telepsychiatry is often most valuable for people far from a psychiatrist’s office. As long as you’re an adult physically located in Massachusetts during your visit, where you live in the state doesn’t limit your access to care.

Do I need to be in Massachusetts for my appointment?

Yes. You must be physically located in Massachusetts at the time of each visit, because care is provided under Massachusetts telehealth licensure. Where you live is less important than where you physically are when the visit takes place.

Do you take my insurance?

No — LVBH is private pay / out-of-network and does not bill insurance. We provide superbills you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. PPO and POS plans commonly reimburse part of out-of-network care after your out-of-network deductible; EPO and HMO plans usually do not cover out-of-network — verify with your plan. Reimbursement varies and is not guaranteed.

How much does it cost?

$400 for the initial evaluation (60 minutes) and $250 per follow-up (25 minutes). There is one free 15-minute consult to confirm fit before you book.
