Do I need to be licensed in Massachusetts to refer?
No. You can be licensed in any state. As long as your client is physically located in Massachusetts at the time of their appointment, we can provide care. We handle all MA licensing requirements on our end.
What are your rates?
We are a private pay / out-of-network practice with transparent pricing:
• Initial psychiatric evaluation (60 min): $400
• Follow-up medication management (30 min): $250
Many patients with PPO or EPO plans receive 60–80% reimbursement from their insurers. We provide superbills to make the process straightforward.
How do you communicate with me about my client’s care?
With your client’s written consent (HIPAA release), we communicate via secure email (encrypted), phone calls (scheduled), or care coordination notes (shared via secure portal). You choose the frequency and method that works best for your practice.
Will you “steal” my client for therapy?
Absolutely not. We provide medication management only. Your client continues therapy with you. In fact, we require clients to be engaged in therapy (or willing to start) as a condition of accepting them into our practice. We’re here to support your work, not replace it.
How quickly can you see urgent cases?
For urgent (non-emergency) situations, we often accommodate same-day or next-day consultations. If your client is in crisis requiring immediate safety intervention, we’ll guide you to appropriate emergency resources (ER, crisis lines, mobile crisis).
Do you prescribe controlled substances?
Yes, when clinically appropriate. Dr. Lee is DEA-licensed and can prescribe Schedule II-V medications (including stimulants for ADHD, benzodiazepines for anxiety) via telepsychiatry in compliance with Massachusetts regulations.
